Macro Magic in the Forest
One-day Macro Photography Workshop at the Cradle of Forestry
Saturday, June 29, 2019
Capture the magic of macro photography with one of the Southeast’s best-known macro photographers and macro teachers, Les Saucier. Les and Janet Saucier will lead participants through a day in the forest at the Cradle of Forestry to photograph summer flowers, mountain ferns, carpets of moss and seasonal insects, all up-close and personal through your macro lens.
Macro photography involves small subjects, but the art entails a large set of skills. Join Les and Janet as they walk you through the skills of macro photography. Whether you’ve been shooting for years or only a short time, if you enjoy macro and want to become a better macro photographer, this one-day workshop will give you the opportunity to enhance your skills.
Some of the things you’ll learn in the classroom:
• critical factors in macro, such as background, depth of field and lighting
• techniques to use in the field, such as focus-stacking
• best methods of post-processing macro images
• a review and feedback on some of your day’s images
