, The Cradle of Forestry invites the curious of all ages to learn about and celebrate local pollinators. This one-day event will be held in and around the Forest Discovery Center at the Cradle of Forestry and commemorates National Pollinator Week. Pollinator themed information and activities will be available from 10am to 3pm.
Schedule of events:
10:00am to 3:00pm: Educators will be hosting a Pollinator themed obstacle course and craft
10:00am to 3:00pm: Tabling
- Joyce Pearsall will have an information table about monarch butterflies
- Devin Gentry will have Cradle honey bees on display along with information about them and their care
11:00am and 2:00pm: Pollinator Hike
- This will be a 1 hour hike along the Cradle’s paved trails in search of pollinators. We will take nets and magnifiers along to study pollinators we find!
Lunch is available in the Café at the Cradle from 11:00am-3:00pm.
